SmartDaily (we, us, or our) operates the website smartdaily.io and four Chrome browser extensions: FocusFlow, DemoRec, SalatGuard, and SnapEdit (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using our Services you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
a) Information you provide directly
- Email address and name — collected by Stripe at checkout when you purchase a Pro license.
- License key — generated at purchase and stored in our database linked to your email.
b) Information collected automatically
- IP-based location — SalatGuard uses your IP address via ipapi.co to detect your city and country for accurate prayer times. This is processed on-device and not stored on our servers.
- Page view analytics — our website uses Vercel Analytics to count page views and measure traffic. No personal identifiers are stored; only aggregate data is retained.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details.
c) Data stored locally in your browser
All four Chrome extensions store your settings, preferences, history, and license key exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless explicitly described above.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver your license key and verify Pro status when you activate an extension.
- To provide customer support — if you contact us, we may look up your purchase by email.
- To send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, license delivery) via Stripe. We do not send marketing emails.
- To improve the Services using anonymised analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations such as tax records and fraud prevention.
3. Third-party services
We share data with the following third-party processors only to the extent necessary:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
4. Data retention
Purchase records (email, license key, product ID, Stripe session ID) are retained for as long as your license is active or as required by applicable law (typically 7 years for financial records). You may request deletion at any time by emailing us (see Section 10). Deleting your purchase record will invalidate your license key.
5. Cookies and tracking
Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Vercel Analytics uses a privacy-preserving approach that does not rely on cookies or fingerprinting. No consent banner is required for this usage under most privacy regulations.
6. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- California (CCPA) — California residents have additional rights including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and restricted access to production systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will post a notice on our website. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
